Structural Integration is a method of body therapy which is oriented towards working with the fascial system (connective tissue) of the body. Our fascia surrounds our muscles and organs - it gives muscles their shape and the body its structure.

The continuing pull of gravity, the stress of daily life and physical injuries can pull the body out of alignment. The fascia gradually shortens, tightens and adjusts to accommodate the misalignment. Structural Integration aligns and balances the body by lengthening and repositioning fascia. As fascia is lengthened it allows the muscles to move more efficiently, organs to have more space, the general level of functioning of the body improves.

I have used Structural Integration to bring relief to many conditions, including:

  • Neck and Shoulder pain
  • Sciatica and piriformis syndrome
  • Migraines and other chronic headaches
  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Tendonitis
  • Bursitis
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Lower back pain
  • Swollen knees and ankles

Who would benefit:

  • Yoga teachers and practitioners
  • Pilates, tai chi and/or other healthy practices
  • Dancers, actors, musician or any kind of performing artist who need to keep their body in good condition
  • Someone who loves movement and dance
  • You or someone who is plagued by aches and pains which you can get temporary relief from but have never found a permanent solution.
  • A massage therapist or any kind of bodyworker or healing arts practitioner who would like to learn more about fascial techniques
